 FC Belgrade is a social club that was founded on a genuine love for the game of soccer.The original members wanted a club where all members were friends first and teammates second. In today's day and age, that was a foreign concept. FC Belgrade started off by competing and winning various Chicago Soccer Leagues, including Montrose, Hawthorne, and Douglas Park Leagues. The club's performances and ambitions were rewarded in 2006 as FCB was unanimously voted into the most exclusive soccer league in the State of Illinois, the Metropolitan Soccer League.
In order to compete with old Chicago soccer clubs like the Eagles, Schwaben, Kickers, Soccers, Maroons, just to name a few, FC Belgrade had to show their heart, grit and skill from the very beginning. In its short existence, FC Belgrade has surprised a lot of people with its play on the field, as well as their courage and ambition off the field. FC Belgrade's success is proof of what can happen with a brave vision, positive attitude, hard working players, faithful sponsors, dedicated leaders, amazing fans and a true passion for the game. | |
